The University of Michigan Health System is home to one of the most highly respected Level 1 Adult/Pediatric Emergency Departments in the country. The Nurse Manager position is critical to the success of our mission. While leading the nursing staff, our Manager works collaboratively with physicians and serves as an equal member of the leadership team. ED nurses also participate in a range of cutting-edge research projects and participate in the Michigan Quality System, which uses the principles of “Lean Thinking” for patient throughput to improve efficiencies of patient care.
